The flag of Montserrat — the British Overseas Territory in the Caribbean devastated by the eruption of the Soufrière Hills volcano beginning in 1995. The capital Plymouth was buried under volcanic deposits and remains a ghost town, now called the 'Pompeii of the Caribbean.' Two-thirds of the population evacuated, primarily to the UK.

Montserrat was once a significant recording location (AIR Studios where many famous albums were recorded before being destroyed in a 1989 hurricane). Used for Caribbean volcanic disaster, British Overseas Territories, and disaster recovery.
