The flag of Brazil, the largest country in South America and the fifth-largest in the world by area. The flag features a green field with a large yellow diamond in the center, inside which is a blue celestial globe with 27 white stars representing the federal states and the Federal District. Across the globe runs a white banner with the motto 'Ordem e Progresso' (Order and Progress).

The green symbolizes the Amazon rainforest, the yellow represents mineral wealth especially gold, and the blue and stars depict the sky over Rio de Janeiro on November 15, 1889, the day Brazil became a republic. Brazil is celebrated for its passionate culture: the legendary Rio Carnival, samba and bossa nova music, the iconic Christ the Redeemer statue, the breathtaking Iguazu Falls, the football powerhouse with five FIFA World Cup titles, and beautiful beaches like Copacabana.
