The flag of Aruba, a constituent country of the Kingdom of the Netherlands located in the southern Caribbean Sea. The flag has a unique design featuring a light blue field with two narrow horizontal yellow stripes near the bottom and a red four-pointed star outlined in white in the upper hoist corner. The blue represents the beautiful Caribbean Sea and the sky, the two yellow stripes symbolize Aruba's golden past and abundant mineral deposits, and the four-pointed red star represents the four cardinal directions reflecting the diverse origins of Aruba's people, the four major languages spoken (Papiamento, Dutch, Spanish, and English), and the four main ethnic groups.

The flag was adopted on March 18, 1976, which is now celebrated as Flag Day. Aruba is famously branded as 'One Happy Island' due to its consistently sunny weather, absence of hurricanes (it lies south of the hurricane belt), and warm trade winds. World-class beaches like Eagle Beach and Palm Beach are consistently ranked among the world's best.
